A Quiet Wander is a minimalist audio app / self-playing game, in which an avatar wanders around a forested landscape, listening to sounds along the way. It has a day / night ambience selection, a stop timer, and fine volume control for phones (for when the minimum system volume just isn't minimum enough). This app / game(?) first appeared to me in a dream, suitably enough, and now it exists! I've long been meaning to put together my own 'relaxing sounds' app to help me sleep and feel calmer.  One fitful 4am reverie saw me opening up a sleep app on my phone that was like a walking simulator, but experienced only through sounds - minimal, MUD-like interface - and simulated a hike through a peaceful forest. It was sufficiently vivid and unusual that I wanted to see if it could actually work...

I made this app to satisfy my own curiosity, and there is no particular reason to use it over anything else, except to buy into the soothing premise of going for a quiet walk in the forest. If this speaks to you, I hope you enjoy.
